Welcome Baby Party for Chase

We had our welcome baby party for Chase today and had sooooo much fun! We didn't have a shower prior, because honestly we did not need a thing. Having had 3 babies in the last 3 1/2 years we pretty much had everything covered. BUT we wanted to celebrate the birth of our newest little miracle and give our ENTIRE family and friends a chance to meet him.

Aside from hubby and I being sleep deprived and me teeter tottering hormonally praying Postpartum Depression does not rear it's ugly head, we had a blast. So many of our family and friends showed up, and we felt so loved, so blessed and so grateful.

Life gets so hectic for all of us, it was a welcome change to take some time to reconnect. Some of my dearest and closest friends that I have not had a chance to visit with in a long while showed up, and this just warmed my heart. I miss my girlfriends something awful, and had not realized how much until today. My life is so busy with kids and work that this is the one area of my life I have neglected, nurturing friendships.

I miss my girlfriends, I miss that connection. I need that connection. It is now a priority for me to reconnect.

Again, it was so much fun. My heart is filled with such gratitude it almost leaves me speechless...almost!
