I am Only One Person!

I find myself with the new mantra lately, "I am only one person!". At times I feel as if I am being pulled in a million different directions at once. With a newborn, 2 toddlers and a tween someone is always needing 'Mama'.

I have to keep reminding myself that I AM only one person, I am doing the best I can, and that this stressful time will pass. Going through the newborn phase is always tough, especially when trying to recover from a c-section and dealing with sleep deprivation.

That said, I really am a very blessed woman. My husband, I do love him more and more everyday. I really don't know how I would do all I do if it was not for his love, support and help. He really is a true partner in every sense of the word. From being a partner in parenting, to being my business partner with MUIB, he is right by my side every step of the way.

He sees our children as a shared responsibility, and jumps in and does just as much for them as I do. I remember him telling me once how it really ticked him off when someone asked him if he was babysitting since he was keeping the kids at the time. He told me under no uncertain terms that he was NOT a babysitter that he is their Dad, and he was being a parent.

As a husband and a father he really does go above and beyond. There is nothing sexier than a man who is not afraid to change diapers, rock a sick child, who will step in and cook, clean, do laundry and even go grocery shopping! How do you think we ended up with a house full of kids??!! *wink*

He has picked up my slack while I recover, and he and I are taking turns in caring for our little night owl. I hope he knows how much I do appreciate everything he does, and that nothing he does goes unnoticed.

Speaking of my little night owl, he got me good today. While changing my newborn baby's diaper he got me right in the face. I couldn't help but laugh....afterwards. When he did it, I must have yelled out, because hubby came running in there thinking something was wrong. Nothing wrong, it's just Mom is not used to having little boy and needs more time to adjust. After all, having 3 girls prior, this is all new to me!

Time for another feeding! Until next time...
